Privacy Policy
Last updated: July 15, 2026
This Privacy Policy describes how HBE Ventures, LLC ("HBE Ventures", "we", "us") handles information in connection with our internal financial operations application ("the Application") that connects to Intuit QuickBooks Online.
Who this covers
The Application is a private, internal tool operated by HBE Ventures for its own business. It is not a public product and is not offered to third parties. The only user is HBE Ventures and its authorized operators.
What data we access
When connected to QuickBooks Online through Intuit's authorized OAuth 2.0 flow, the Application may read and write our own accounting data, including invoices, customers, items, vendors, expenses, bills, journal entries, and standard financial reports. We access only our own company's data, using access explicitly granted by us as the account owner.
How we use it
We use this data solely to automate our own internal financial operations, for example creating and retrieving invoices and pulling financial reports. We do not use QuickBooks data for advertising, and we do not sell, rent, or share it with third parties.
How we store and protect it
Access and refresh tokens are stored encrypted in our own infrastructure (a private database on Google Cloud, access-controlled to HBE Ventures). We follow OAuth 2.0 best practices, including token rotation and least-privilege scopes (the accounting scope only). We do not store QuickBooks account passwords; authentication is handled entirely by Intuit.
Data sharing
We do not share QuickBooks Online data with any third party. Data is processed only within HBE Ventures' own systems.
Retention and deletion
We retain financial records as needed for our own accounting and legal obligations. You may disconnect the Application at any time from within QuickBooks or via our disconnect endpoint, which revokes the Application's access.
